espn2 writer mocks Guam and manages to piss off the entire island.

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=ogle/050524

this really pissed me off when i read this article.
i would understand why some people wouldn't like the idea of cockfighting but to demean an entire island?

quote, "They say if an American man walks through a particular poor village in Guam, families will offer their daughters."

poor villages in guam? i suppose if the average household owns 2-3 vehicles they would be considered poor-UNDER WHO"S STANDARDS?
its an island, people live an island way of life, moron.

ALSO, i have lived on this island for 24years. i have NEVER heard of a family offering their daughter to an american man. what for? we're all Americans here, moron. we use american money and live an american way of life.

this guy should've done his research before he wrote this fucking article. its full of HOLES!

Guam and me

this is a photo of the "spanish park"(i forget what its actually called). in Agana, the capital of Guam.
lots of history, the building in the background used to be the spanish governor's house circa 1700's.

these paddlers i took a photo of by Matapang Beach in Tumon. this is great in that the backdrop accentuates the entire scene.
